The routine

Four simple habits.

Washing

A cool, gentle cycle keeps organic cotton soft and holds its colour.

Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle
Use a mild, eco-friendly detergent
Wash similar colours together
Turn garments inside out before washing
Avoid fabric softeners — they reduce absorbency

Drying

Low and slow. Heat and direct sun are what shorten a garment’s life.

Tumble dry on low heat or lay flat to dry
Avoid direct sunlight to preserve colours
Remove promptly from the machine to prevent creasing
Organic cotton may shrink slightly on first wash — this is normal

Stains

Act early and gently — most little spills lift out with no fuss.

Treat stains as soon as possible
Dab gently — never rub
Use a natural stain remover or baking soda paste
Do not bleach

Storage

Fold, keep dry, and skip the mothballs. Cotton likes to breathe.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
Fold knits rather than hanging to keep their shape
Use natural cedar or lavender sachets instead of mothballs
Make sure garments are fully dry before storing

Care for a piece well and it outlives one childhood. Our fabrics are made to be loved again.
