The routine

Four simple habits.

01

Washing

A cool, gentle cycle keeps organic cotton soft and holds its colour.

  • Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle
  • Use a mild, eco-friendly detergent
  • Wash similar colours together
  • Turn garments inside out before washing
  • Avoid fabric softeners — they reduce absorbency
02

Drying

Low and slow. Heat and direct sun are what shorten a garment’s life.

  • Tumble dry on low heat or lay flat to dry
  • Avoid direct sunlight to preserve colours
  • Remove promptly from the machine to prevent creasing
  • Organic cotton may shrink slightly on first wash — this is normal
03

Stains

Act early and gently — most little spills lift out with no fuss.

  • Treat stains as soon as possible
  • Dab gently — never rub
  • Use a natural stain remover or baking soda paste
  • Do not bleach
04

Storage

Fold, keep dry, and skip the mothballs. Cotton likes to breathe.

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • Fold knits rather than hanging to keep their shape
  • Use natural cedar or lavender sachets instead of mothballs
  • Make sure garments are fully dry before storing
Care for a piece well and it outlives one childhood. Our fabrics are made to be loved again.
